Lis Shelley

Founding Director and Principal Consultant
Lis has been in the computing field since 1987 as a systems analyst/programmer, project manager, support manager, quality assurance manager, technical writer, translator, trainer, magazine editor and IT manager. Now specialising in website design, business & technical writing & editing and training, Lis has 9 years of international IT experience in South East Asia and Europe with private companies, educational institutions and research institutes. Lis founded Nullarbor in 1995. She is an advocate for smarter business practices as a way of reducing greenhouse emissions. A native English speaker, Lis speaks and writes German.
Lis also has a passion for film, photography and live theatre.

Karl Auer

Director and Network Consultant
Karl has been working in computing since 1984 in the private and education sectors. As a systems analyst/programmer, project leader, network programmer, network manager, writer and translator, Karl has worked for a range of high-tech companies in Australia and the Australian National University. For 8 years he worked in Switzerland for a major university in the network management area, responsible for a 20 000 node network. In 2005 Karl joined Nullarbor to take on the network director role, specialising in DNS, management of large networks, wireless networks, IPV6, programming and business and technical writing. He is a founding member of the Internet Society in Australia ISOC-AU, a member of the Association of Computing Machinery ACM and a Life Member of the PC Users Group PCUG (ACT). In 1997 Karl received an ACT Volunteer of the Year Award for his work in technology. A native English speaker, Karl speaks
and writes German fluently. He has rdden his human-powered recumbent tricycle in several European EcoTrips and is an active member of Spectrum Theatre Group in Merimbula.
